About the Company
Plastech started up in the UK at the start
of 1995, to design and manufacture leak detection equipment tailored for
the Blow Molding industry. We also provide electronics and design services
for OEMs.
We sell to systems integrators, OEMs and of course directly to
end-users. We have an expanding network of representatives worldwide.
Since our US operations have increasingly become dominant we have
opened Plastech Control Systems Inc., to directly support sales to US
industrial blow molders. Our US distributor Ideas In Motion, Inc.,
continues to support dairy and OEM applications.
We are now in our eleventh year.

Product History
Leak Detectors
LT1 - In the Beginning

Our first leak detector model was the LT1;
this proved to be highly successful and reliable and gave us a flying
start. Accepting 1,2,3 or 4 leak test
heads, the design proved very popular with many of the UK's largest blow
molding companies and still sells well today in an updated form. The
flexibility of the control system design enables us to offer many options;
in addition to the basic leak test functions the system can directly
control collating tables, conveyors, bottle turners and other ancillary
equipment.
LT2

We designed the LT2 model specifically
to be mounted on a "Uniloy" style indexing deflash trimmer.
While there were other leak testers on the market for this function, we
identified a need for an updated, reliable modern design dedicated to this
high volume application. Previous designs suffered from poor accuracy due
to limited available cycle time, or even required fitting a separate leak
detector for each test head. Our unique design integrates the electronics
for up to four leak detection channels and all trimmer control system
interfacing onto a single circuit board.
Machine manufacturers and end users alike enthusiastically adopted the
LT2; it is now an established de-facto industry standard and our best selling model.
Sold and Supported in the USA primarily by Ideas in Motion, Inc., it will
be most familiar to end users under this name.
LT3
We designed and manufactured the special purpose LT3 models to the
specification of a single large UK blow molder, especially for them. Since
we have total control of design and manufacture, we can quickly and easily
provide tailored solutions to perfectly suit a customer application.
LT4
The LT4 is an "in machine" leak
detector; bottles are tested
while still inside the blow molding machine. Individually leak testing up
to 10 bottles at a time; the LT4 also introduced our "T1"
touch-screen operator control panel.
LT5

Our premier leak tester is the LT5. It
updates the LT1 model with an easy to use graphical touch screen and up to
16 channels of operation. Normally supplied in an in-line configuration,
it allows the high throughput of a rotary leak tester at a fraction of the
cost.
LT7

Designed as a low cost single channel leak
detector, the LT7 can be used as a conveyor fed bottle tester or in a
static manually operated test fixture.
